Why will my colour fade if they are permanent cosmetics?
All of the inks used in this procedure are designed for this treatment only and are not used for general tattooing. The inks are hypo-allergenic and the approved within governing bodies. A patch test will be provided.
The effects will last for between one and three years but you may require a re-touch up annually or possibly sooner depending on skin type/ activity and hormonal changes. The colour fades but the particles are still present in the skin.
What is included in my treatment?
• Full medical confidential consultation
• Patch Test
• Consent forms
• Initial treatment and up to 2 follow up touch-ups if required
• Pre and aftercare advice
Does it hurt?
Topical anaesthetic is applied to reduce any feeling in the area to be treated. You may experience a slight tingling or scratching sensation when the procedure is first being done. Once the treatment is underway, more anaesthetic is applied and you should feel very little, other than a buzzing sensation from the equipment.
What will I see after my treatment?
You may experience any of the following;
• Slight swelling
• Redness
• Numbness for up to two hours
• The colour will appear much darker for up to one week
• Lines may appear thicker until the healing process has taken place.
What will happen after the treatment?
You may experience loss of colour (pigment) for up to two weeks after the initial healing has taken place. This is due to your skin cells healing over the area where the pigment has been placed. After around three to four weeks, the cells will settle and the colour returns.
When do I come back for my Follow-up Treatment/Retouch?
You will need to wait at least 4 weeks after the initial procedure before any further treatment can be undertaken. This appointment will normally be made on the day of your initial treatment.
How long will it the treatment take?
I usually allow two hours for each initial treatment. This allows enough time to complete the paperwork allow the anaesthetic to take effect and to make you comfortable before we begin. You will not be undergoing treatment for the whole of that time.
